the purpose of this study was to compare personality traits and anxiety and depression of iranian traditional wrestling athletes with wrestling, taekwondo and kabaddi athletes. 175 sportsmen were randomly selected using morgan and kerjesy table. eysenck personality inventory (epi) and hospital anxiety and depression scale (hads) were used to collect the data. in addition to descriptive statistics, inferential anova and tukey post hoc test were used in this research. the results showed a significant difference in personality traits (introversion, extroversion, stability, instability) among athletes of different sport fields (p
